Pet Groomers in Lake Geneva

“I live in Burlington but bring my dog to doggie daycare in Lake Geneva to The Barking-Lot and I’ve been doing that for eight years.

Our dog Summer has been going there since she was a puppy. She’s 8 now, so basically her whole life has included this place. She’s done dog daycare, boarding, and grooming over the years, and I can honestly say we’ve never had a negative experience. She is happy and over-the-moon excited every single time I drop her off.

It’s consistently clean. It always smells fresh and welcoming. I love that the staff actually know her. This isn’t some big box place where you have to use name tags because there are seven Goldens named Max. They greet everyone by name. They know their customers and their dogs, and it truly shows that they treat everyone like family.

They know Summer’s personality, her quirks, who she plays with. After this many years, that kind of familiarity means everything. When we board her, I don’t feel anxious leaving her. I just know she’s in good hands.

Honestly, the staff is the best part of this place. And it should be anywhere. It’s the same group of people every time I walk in. There’s no constant turnover, no meeting new faces who don’t know my dog. These people are one of the most amazing groups I’ve ever met, and I genuinely feel like they’re a second family to my fur baby.

And it’s the little things too! The holiday artwork, the themed days, the small projects. I still have some of Summer’s artwork saved because it’s just sweet and thoughtful.

“I normally am not one to leave reviews but I had to give this place the recognition they deserve. My dog was not doing well since having a bad experience with a groomer at his last location…he’d shake, cry, bark, and I would dread having to take him to get groomed, so I decided it was time to look elsewhere. That’s when I came across Spirit of Grooming. Today when I dropped him off (this was his 3rd time going there) he ran up to Katie (his groomer) and his tale was wagging the entire time. It was such a delight to see! I didn’t want going to the groomers to be a stressful experience for him, and I myself was able to leave him and not feel guilty or stressed.
Unlike many other groomers, here they focus on just your dog for the entirety that they are there. Before it would take 4-5 hours because he’d be put in a kennel to wait his turn while in a loud environment surrounded by barking dogs. Here, he is done in 2 hours or less in a quiet and clam atmosphere just with his groomer that he’s familiar and comfortable with.

I could truly go on and on about how happy and relieved I am to of found this place for my dog. If you’re looking for a groomer, look no further!
They even do photo shoots at the end of each of their appointment that I always look forward to ?“
