My husband and I are a sucker for a historic hotel and when thinking of a place to celebrate my birthday, I suggested The American Club!
We have been to the hotel before to eat at some of the restaurants, but staying was a whole different experience, truly 5 stars. This is a great place to celebrate any special occasion, they make you feel so special from the moment you walk in. The front desk went over all the amazing amenities the hotel has to offer, and we were even able to check in early, which was so nice. It gave us time to get refreshed before heading out to explore.

If I could give this dreamy location more stars I would. The service is exceptional from start to finish. We stayed for three nights, explored the property, and treated ourselves to the spa. Everyone here truly pays attention to every detail to ensure you have the most incredible stay. extra shout out to Aaron and Alex who truly went above and beyond!
Excellent location and beautifully maintained property. A couple gripes are that the tablet in our room did not work properly since we arrived and every restaurant under the Kohler brand (Taverne, Whistling Straights, Horse & Plow and Kohler Waters Spa Cafe) seems to have an issue with spacing courses when serving two people. On a consistent basis during our stay, appetizers were either forgotten or served with our main course. The internet in our room did not work the duration of our stay and this was brought to the front desk’s attention which resulted in them taking the tablet (which was not returned).
