They require you to pay to apply BEFORE allowing you to see the unit, which is absolutely a scam. They clearly don't maintain their properties, as most of them look like they haven't had new counters, carpets, or really any upkeep since the 80s. I can't imagine the nightmare maintenance team that likely comes with these rentals.
You have to stand on your head, give blood and practically beg to get someone to show you an apartment. The one I was able to see, said it was available now AND offered free June rent on their website. The flooring was tore up and the apartment itself was disgusting. Sink and tub corroded with thick layers of dirt. They go weeks with no communication regarding availability or even scheduling anything. Several days later - they still show available now on website. Someone is dropping the ball. I’m glad I won’t be renting from them. Don’t waste your time.
Everything was going great until I started needing help from the management and maintenance. It's nearly impossible to get ahold of anyone, and I suspect the receptionist just forwards almost all of the calls to voicemail. You literally have to drive down to their main office to talk to someone. Even then, you'll still get the runaround. Maintenance is a complete joke too. Zero communication, zero accountability. DO NOT RENT FROM WALKER PROPERTY MANAGEMENT. You will regret it.
