I’ve been planning a memorial tattoo for my dad for a while now. I knew I wanted it to include his lucky number 4, a butterfly (because he always said butterflies floating near you are visitors from heaven), and of course his famous saying, “It is what it is.” I was even able to incorporate his actual handwriting from postcards he sent me when I was little, which made it even more special. With a little help from AI, the design came together better than I imagined. Then it was time to decide where to go. I had heard great things about Driftless Tattoo, so I reached out to Keysha and asked what the chances were of scheduling it on my dad’s birthday. Even though Wednesdays are normally her prep days, she made it happen. It turned out more amazing than I could have imagined. I couldn’t be happier with it and highly recommend checking them out if you’re looking for ink time.
