February 21st I messaged and I called and absolutely nothing in response UNTIL March 2nd when i left this review 🤣. I was looking for someone to start my loc journey as i travel a lot for work and i feel I'm ready. I texted the number to make sure she is taking new clients for locs and what all i need to book for loc extensions and no response. I then called….no response so now i dont trust that shes even still in business anymore?
Edit: lol DO NOT GO TO THIS PERSON! She literally decided to wake up and message me long unprofessional paragraphs AT 6AM but couldn’t answer a simple question. A disgrace to black owned businesses and the reason why people don’t take black women seriously. DO BETTER you are making us look bad!

If you don’t want people texting you with questions maybe stop telling people to text you and advertising your number everywhere if you desperately lack decent customer service and good character.

I get compliments every time she does my hair. Since seeing her, my hair has gotten so healthy. We've even been able to go longer in between trims which is good since I put up a fight every time. So many trims in the beginning since I wasn't ready for the big chop I desperately needed. Sure, sometimes she's a few minutes late but so am I so I can't act like I'm perfect. Unexpected things happen and it's better to arrive late than get in an accident rushing. My hair always looks amazing so I have no complaints. As long as I live in the area I won't see anyone else for my hair.

Kenyada is an amazing hairstylist but she lacks in time management, communication, unorganized, unprofessional and pettiness which in my opinion is going to set her back in her career. Hopefully you will do better. I will no longer need your services and wish you the best.

This girl is just sooooo unprofessional. I’ve been trying to give her the benefit of the doubt and still support black . She’s horrible! Will never go back. And this is her response after I kindly asked for my refund and said we would be ending the relationship

I’ve been in the Green Bay Area for over a year now and have not been able to find someone who specializes in natural hair. I finically got recommended this person and was so excited to book something. I was looking at booking a consultation. This was late around 5pm that I saw that there was availability later that evening. I was shocked because I expected to wait at least a few days to find something available. So, I booked a consultation for 7pm that same day. This person advertised that they are open later than a regular 9-5-type business would be. That was a plus for me. I also got confirmation of the appointment via email. I headed over to the building. Once I arrived, there was nobody there. Lights were off and I did not see anyone in the suite. I called the number and left a voicemail stating I had booked something a few hours prior and was here for a consultation. I explained that I believed I was in the right area and if they could get back with me as soon as they could. Moments later I received a text message from the lady stating that she was out of town and she couldn’t do an in person consultation (what I booked). I responded saying that it would have been nice to have the days and times that she would be out of town be omitted from her availability in the case someone booked a same day appointment. I also asked kindly for a refund. She responded that I would receive a refund in the coming business days. The conversation was over. Or so I thought. The lady then sent a long message about how I shouldn’t tell her how to run her business, when all I was really pointing out was miscommunication on her end. She explained that she left to go out of town earlier in the day. How am I, a stranger booking a service that is advertised as being available in the chosen time slot supposed to know she took off early? She also said that if she were available, I would have said that I couldn’t find the building and she’d look like the bad guy in that hypothetical situation. This message was not needed at all. She took accountability and started the refund process. I thought that was the end of it. I will attach the messages as well as photos/videos of me standing right in front of her suite door. Very unprofessional. I am not in the wrong here. I’ve struggled to find a hair stylist and thought I found a good match. Now, I’m back at square one. This would not have been an issue if she did not send that long, hurtful message.

Kenyada did an absolute AMAZING job! She Makes you feel comfortable, gives off great vibes! I'm only an hr out from my appointment, at the time of this post, and I've already received numbers compliments on the braids shes given me. True professional, she is. I will definitely be going back, and I encourage those who never, to step out, and step into her domain and let her do some work! You won't be disappointed!
