“The care our family received was truly exceptional. From the moment they gently and respectfully placed our mom in a beautiful velvet bag to the thoughtful way they prepared her so we could spend one final moment with her, we felt an overwhelming sense of peace. They cared for her as though she were their own mother, and that compassion meant everything to us.
Within 30 minutes of being called, they were at our home. They responded quickly but never made us feel rushed, giving us the time and space we needed to say our goodbyes. Every person we encountered was kind, compassionate, and met us exactly where we were in our grief.
During our planning meeting, Erika was an incredible source of support. She listened with genuine care and never once tried to sell us anything. Instead, she walked alongside us as we made difficult decisions. When emotions ran high and there were moments of disagreement between my dad and me, she quietly gave us the space to work through them, offering guidance only when it was needed.
The service for my mother was beautiful and completely stress-free. The staff even laughed with me when we realized I had included far too many photos in the slideshow. They understood how meaningful every picture was while gently helping me find a balance that honored my mom without overwhelming the service.
Throughout the visitation and funeral, the staff was always present but never intrusive. They anticipated our needs without drawing attention to themselves, allowing our family to focus on remembering and celebrating my mom.
I had worked with Newcomer previously in my professional career, and I had witnessed the compassion they showed other families. Experiencing that same level of care firsthand only reinforced what I already knew: every family is treated with dignity, empathy, and respect.
No one ever wants to plan the funeral of someone they love, and our loss was sudden and heartbreaking.
