A lovely location to listen to music. Both the teachers and students played. The students were inspiring and the teachers are very accomplished professionals themselves. Highly recommend you add a performance there to your stay in Door County.
Birch Creek Music Performance Center has been a transformative experience for our family. My twins attended the summer music academy during high school—my son focused on percussion, and my daughter on bassoon. The immersive instruction and performance opportunities greatly enhanced their musical skills. My daughter is now a senior at Vanderbilt University studying music performance, a testament to the foundation Birch Creek provided. Additionally, the center offers public concerts throughout the summer, showcasing talented students and faculty in genres like Percussion, Steel Pan & World Music, Symphony, and Big Band Jazz. Run, don't walk...or better yet dance on over to Birch Creek to experience other worldly steel pan artist Victor Provost for his last night. It was hard to stay in our seats. Love, love, loved his original works.
