Let this act as a modern day tombstone for the Yellow Pages/YP. Do you want to see a dying business model that neglected to alert their employees to the fact? I am a business owner that was sold on this dying company and their sub-par marketing tools. When they reduced the price by 50% I bit and took out a 6 month ad campaign on smart devices which linked our business via a banner. From the creative team that took weeks to produce anything (that I could do in 5 minutes) to the design team that never even consulted on the design, to the supervisors that would never utter the word "sorry" when the ads never ran or got produced properly.....the entire experience was what you would expect from a company whose "Hay Day" was somewhere back in the 70's when phone directories were relevant. I canceled our contract and went a new route. Doubt my words? Look at their own presence online? No Yelp Page ownership? No Google Page ownership as of today's date. Yet they will carry your business to a new level of recognition in the social media world.
