I had an agent for about 4 1-2 years at Northwestern Mutual. I trusted the advice and process and felt protected and heard. The moment I decided it wasn’t in my best interests financially as a single mom of 2 any longer to pay the monthly fee I asked how I go about the cancellation process. All that I received back was an email with documents to sign. I was hurt and shocked to say the least. I could never afford the monthly payments, but trusted my advisor and held on until I couldn’t justify any longer at this time. I expected more from this agent. I still love the company, but just think maybe some of the agents need an evaluation of proper client interaction.
