“I recently went to Cosmic Revival for the first time after finding Jessi through some internet searches and I am so glad I did! This was hands down the best salon experience I have ever had, in every way.

The space is so beautiful and inviting and also filled with natural light, so you’re not staring at yourself in the mirror, under fluorescent lights, feeling the ugliest you’ve ever been. They use incredible, non toxic products that actually work.

Jessi gave me the most thorough consult I have ever experienced at a salon. She really took the time to get to know me, my lifestyle and my personality so we could tailor my haircut to feel exactly like me. She answered every question I had and explained exactly how I should be caring for my hair and cut, went into detail about each product and tool she used and even offered me a stone to hold during my service, which is right up my alley.

The whole time I was in the chair I was being hyped up by her, as well as other stylists, and in a completely organic and genuine way. This feels like such a safe, inclusive and inviting environment.

They were also running a collection of donations for tornado victims from our recent storm, as well as offering hair washing and device charging for those that were left without water and power. You can truly tell that these women have a passion for what they do and also care about their community. It is worth every single penny you’ll spend there (another bonus: all inclusive, transparent gratuity included pricing) and you will leave feeling like your soul has been renewed and so beautiful in your own skin.

I have long, frizzy hair that I have never been able to let air dry and walked away with a cut that worked with my hair, only to find out I have a curl and my style looked flawless with no blow out and no hot tools. I am writing this to offer a deep, long-overdue apology. Years ago (pandemic-ish), I came into your shop to get back to my platinum blonde. For 18 months, other salons had failed, but your stylist finally gave me the exact color I wanted. I was so grateful that I tipped her $50 on top of the cost (I thought maybe it wasn't a big enough tip for a while) and I truly felt I had finally found a stylist I could trust.
However, I couldn't understand why every time I called afterward to be seen, she repeatedly refused me or passed me off to someone else.
I recently finally asked why my hub thought she would do this and I was devastated to learn the truth.
At the time of my appointment, my health was deteriorating fast, and we were doing everything we could to learn what was wrong. (I was bouncing from 12yo to 90yo with dementia)
The day before my appointment, I had even come into the salon with electric monitoring nodes all over my head from neuroscience center testing.
I was dealing with constant non-epileptic seizures, chronic migraine, short term, loss of motor skills, memory loss and SEVERE pain. To manage this, I was put on heavy medications. And had underwent a minor daily testing that morning and was given temp meds.(Which I had warned about before coming)
What I didn't realize until now was that those medications had made me considerably elated and high.
Because of that state of mind, I ended up being unapologetically open to a complete stranger, speaking out loud about bad things that no one should ever have to experience or hear about—things I don't even talk to my therapist about.
My hubby was there and tried to stop me a few times, knowing this was completely unlike me, but I just couldn't stop. He said it was as if I thought she had to know everything of my past. Things I normally couldn't speak about without getting physically sick at that time.
I am so deeply sorry. Truly.
If this is what caused her to refuse me service in the past, I completely understand and am profoundly sorry.
I would normally never come forward like this out of sheer embarrassment, but I have recently been asked to speak on a large platform about my past, and I'm positive it will lead to more of my story being told locally and online. It's ugly. But people think it will help others. Idk. I just know I'll try.
When we were doing my hair the subject of that stylist was brought up. And he told me why he thinks she won't work with me.
Embarrassing as it is, it is my mistake and I want her to know that while I can't take it back, I am grateful that she considered my condition and kept taking care of my hair. That she wasn't rude or unprofessional. (Hubby said she was fabulously kind)
I felt it was vital to reach out and make it clear that this is not who I usually am.
Even though it's been years, I promise to keep the shop off my local hire list and not to bother the shop or ask for her anymore.(I think we called last summer)
I just want you all to know how truly sorry I am, that your shop is amazing, and that you have a very talented stylist.
Truly remarkable.
