I've had my french-tip set and their has been no/minimal lifting.
As I put this towards mainly their was a good adhesion of the acrylic to my nail in the first place. Kudos to the guy nail tech who did a throughou job prepping my nails and nail bed for this process. Grinding out debris and/or cuticle tissue!
Durability: they must use quality products as I have heavily gone to the lake, wash dishes and i am also actively with doing things- to which I did inadvertently nick the corner tip of one nail.
