STAFF HERE IS HORRIBLE!!! Communication skills are disgustingly poor.
I have been a patient here for may years and just recently have began experiencing issues with the front staff (who seem to be new almost every week). I had an appointment booked in June for a physical to be done with Bonnie (have to book in advanced cause she’s always booked) Well upon the day of my appointment, I was completely shunned away from the lady at front basically saying Bonnie has specific times to do this and how I need to reschedule EVEN THOUGH MY APPOINTMENT CARD THEY GAVE ME SAID to come at this time. They then contacted my mom to reschedule this appointment and my mom was explaining to them how they approached me about how this whole situation was not professional and how my card was correct with time and the lady over the phone basically was calling us the liars and said my mom doesn’t know anything because she wasn’t there, THEN HUNG UP THE PHONE. Completely unprofessional and disgusting behavior!

I have been a patient at quality care for many many years. Through many doctors there. The latest doctor has left. I was just told that basically. I am no longer a patient there and the will possible have space for me December or January and to call back for new patient space. They seem to have been getting worse and worse problems. So now I have no GP. And I'm am in the middle of some medical issues. 100 percent do not recommend this clinic.

There is a reason this is one of the few places in town still accepting new patients. I think they may be loosing them as fast as they get them. I will be calling this horrid clinic, Poor Quality Care, when I talk to all my friends in town. I had misgivings about this place when I started going there 3 years ago because of many poor reviews but I couldn't find any other primary care providers accepting new patients. I didn't need much the first 2.5 years so it was okay as I only saw them once a year. However, in November of last year, I started experiencing confusing symptoms and called for an appointment for an acute condition. I was told it would be an 8 week wait to get in. I ended up going to urgent care and trying to manage this problem on my own with the help of urgent care. As my condition worsened with no answers, I went ahead and scheduled an appointment with Poor Quality Care that was about 6 weeks out. When I went to the appointment, the nurse, Shannon attacked me and asked why I had waited to come in for so long. On another occasion she berated me for getting referrals elsewhere. What else was I supposed to do? I could not get in to get referrals at Poor Quality Care! The doctor wanted me to return in about 2 months so I scheduled that appointment as I left the office. Meanwhile, other distressing symptoms developed. My inability to work with a primary care provider, because of unreasonable wait times, was hampering my ability to figure out a confusing and scary set of symptoms. I decided I needed to try to get a different provider who was more available. I found a doctor at Yakima Neighborhood Health and signed a release of information and made a new patient appointment which was not for a month. I comforted myself about the 1 month wait because my appointment at Poor Quality Care was coming up soon. When I developed even more concerning symptoms, I called to see if there was any way to get in sooner at Poor Quality Care. Not suprisingly, they told me no. I asked about seeing another provider in the practice and was told they don't see each others patients. There is absolutely no plan for patients that have acute problems! Most clinics save a few appointments every day for acute problems and allow other providers to see you. So, after finding out there was no way to see anyone sooner, I asked if I could talk to my provider's nurse so I could get a message to my provider to see if it was safe to wait until my upcoming appointment. I was transfered and nurse Shannon told me in a nasty voice that my care had been canceled and my upcoming appointment had been canceled. Needless to say, I was very upset. Shannon was condescending and rude and said they had called to tell me. I looked on my phone and there were no messages or even missed calls from Poor Quality Care, not that it would have been any better if they had called. This is known as patient abandonment. They dropped me in the middle of a dangerous medical condition without assuring I had continued care. Telling also is the fact that when I had my appointment with my new provider (I was able to get in sooner after explaining the situation), they had not received the records from Poor Quality Care, necessary for my continued care. I am choosing not to file a formal complaint with the Washington State Department of Health because my doctor at Poor Quality Care already has had some trouble with his license being suspended and also is no longer board certified. He was mediocre at best, but he didn't seem malicious. He will probably provide adequate care to people who can't drive out of town. For the rest of you, if you can't find anywhere else, and I mean anywhere, drive to Prosser, or Tri Cities. Also, consider firms that are now offering telehealth primary care, including UW Medicine. This place should be your absolute last and desperate resort.

I see Dr. Gondo. I am happy with the service at this clinic. I always get in pretty quickly. Would recommend.

While I can’t say a bad word about Dr Gondo, the rest of this clinic is complete and total garbage. I saw them for a referral on my knee, in September, which I finally saw the Orthopedic Doc in March of 24. 3 weeks ago, Dr Gondo assured us he would put a rush on a referral and would instruct Marie, his medical assistant to get that done, well we are on week three and no referral, this is for my daughter who he said we need her to start PT this week, apparently Marie doesn’t agree. When you are forced to leave messages with Marie, her voicemail says if you are calling about a referral, they take 2 weeks to send out, and that if you leave multiple messages it will take longer, well we left our “one” message, and here we are twiddling our thumbs. For what it’s worth, our daughter was also having a series of bloody noses, we tried to schedule with Dr Gondo, instead went to an Urgent Care doc who wrote the referral and we had an appointment in two days, and now have a procedure scheduled. My hope is that someone reads this, because I have told this story to anyone who will listen, and it’s fell on deaf ears. Get it together Sub Quality Care! Your patients depend on you, and you should be ashamed!

I had to find a new doctor a couple years ago. My doctor I have seen my entire life retired. I was so Blessed to become one of Dr.Mark Maiocco's patients. He is very caring and concerned about his patients welfare. His staff are also very kind and caring!! Thank you for accepting me as one of your patients!!!!

The one thing I appreciate the most about going to Quality Care Medical Clinic is that you can call them, and someone will answer the phone! I get so tired of getting the annoying “voice” and being prompted to press endless numbers only to get an answering machine, and then have to leave a message and hope that someone “will listen” to your message and return your call.
I find going to the doctors and medical issues stressful enough, so when a PERSON answers the phone, it is amazing! That one little thing alone is worthy of five stars.
Thank you to all the caring people working there.

Although I've received good care in the past few years from John Lyzanchuck, DO & Lisa Benton ARNP, I can't recommend this Medical Clinic. They recently called, left a voice message informing me they would no longer provide care. (I'm planning to move back to west side of WA and, in preparation, am working with an MD there. She is willing to work in conjunction with Quality Care Medical Clinic and share test results. Quality Care is unwilling to treat me while I'm still living here in Yakima. I will be forced to rely on Urgent Care for medical needs.
