I went to Bella Vision this morning to see about getting a new screw put it into the arm put in my glasses because it fell out. There is a note on the door that says will be close for 2 to 3 months.What! It would've been nice if they would've let their customers know. I
Bella Vision has two things: Optometrist and Eyewear storeOn the optometry side, this shop seems to well equipped witha lot of brand new machines and my VSP insurance covered both an eye exam.On the Eyewear side, the store is an overpriced run of the mill shop. They charge for progressive glasses with VSP $270+ and the person told me without insurance they would be $600+. Further, the machine that measures PD was off by 2 mms compared to my other prescriptions. I am not sure how they come up with these prices because I can buy online glasses which are made by Luxotica with the same treatment for $100 including frames. So, this is the reason for the 2 starts.
I went through an eye exam at their location. my first exam was for glasses only. I do not have any complaints with the doc. He did what he was supposed to do and provided me with a prescription. When I went back about 3 months later for my contact lens exam, he provided similar service. No complaints there. However, when I went to pay my copay, I was told that the doctor gave me a discount on multifocal contacts however, I had to pay an additional $70 for ROOM CHARGES for a total of $110 (including the 15% discount)!! Since this is the first that I had ever heard about any doctor's office charging for room charges I disputed it. They subsequently retracted that statement...read full review
