Providence needs to train their office staff on effective de-escalation techniques. I was cut off 3 times, trying to call Dr. Perez's office to discuss my step-father's care. I am his POA, and when I stated this, I was asked for my name. She repeated it back to me incorrectly, stating that I wasn't in his file as POA. When I tried to interject to correct her and say, "that's not my name" - She just continued to speak over the top of me explaining why she couldn't give me any information. I again tried to correct my name to her, and in response she very aggressively just started saying, "Ma'am! Ma'am!" over and over into the phone. I'm sorry, but that is NOT how you de-escalate a situation with a clearly irritated caller. I had good reason to be irritated. I had been hung up on three times prior. When I told her this, she said, "Now I see why you were hung up on so many times!"... I then calmly asked for her name and she refused, said she would transfer me to the nurse, but chose to hang up on me again. DO BETTER, PROVIDENCE!

My brother was on lcomfort care this past week before passing on March 16. The nursing staff were heaven sent! They showed such kindness, compassion to both my brother and myself! Thank you from the bottom of my heart! I will forever be grateful!

I had a recent Emergency Room trip twice in one day because my temp spiked and I became very sick very fast once I was home. My visits were for a kidney infection and kidney stones. I had the kindest nurses and Doctors who took great care of me. I felt heard, cared for and I am feeling so much better after the IV antibiotics/fluids and oral antibiotics. Thank you to all the hard working under appreciated healthcare workers! My nausea and pain were immediately addressed and taken care of! You made a very miserable and sick gal feel very cared for and I very much appreciate you all! ❤️
