Shirley's Tape and Shears provides tailoring and alteration services. The seamstress is described as awesome, very knowledgeable, and welcoming, making clients feel comfortable. She does a great and excellent job on a wide variety of garments, including pants, wedding dresses, bridesmaid dresses, service uniforms, and bathing suits. Work is completed in a timely manner, with quick turnarounds ranging from a couple of days to within a week. The service is noted for being very reasonable with great pricing. Clients appreciate the detailed care instructions and wise advice offered, including ideas for repurposing garments. The experience is consistently positive, leading to strong recommendations and intentions to return for all future alteration needs.
Judy is literally the best seamstress EVER! She altered my wedding dress and it was absolutely perfect. When I got the dress, it was too short and so she took lace from the train and used it to lengthen it and its was seamless. Such a queen and so amazing to talk with during all our appointments ❤️
Judy is awesome and very knowledgeable in the space. She got my pants tailored quickly and did a very good job. I will definitely be using her for any other tailoring or alteration needs.
I was a bit nervous to meet Judy because I knew most people, especially a seamstress, would not appreciate that I had my wedding dress hanging in a hefty garbage bag. Judy not only did a great job, she was so welcoming that she made you want to be friends with her! She's one of those people that can make you continue to smile or continue to think for quite some time. That was all a bonus on top of an excellent job on my now husband's pants and my gorgeous wedding dress. Thanks, Judy, I owe you some homemade cookies!!!
