About LA Fitness
LA Fitness is a gym that offers various amenities at what is considered great value. The gym features state-of-the-art equipment, basketball, group fitness classes, a pool, saunas, Kids Klub, and personal training. It has a spacious layout with large locker rooms that have plenty of cubbies. The sauna can accommodate a good number of people and gets very hot, although some members feel it doesn't get hot enough and has a smell. Members appreciate the helpful trainers, with some noting that the trainers are amazing and supportive. The gym has a large selection of well-maintained equipment, and many members say it feels like a second home. The Kids Klub is popular, with staff like Riley and Cecilia being praised for their patience and kindness, making visits enjoyable for families. However, there are areas needing improvement. The gym can be very busy, especially during peak times, making it hard to use certain weight machines. The pool and hot tub have been under construction for a long time, with no visible work being done, which frustrates members who feel they are not getting everything they pay for. The high cost of running the pool and a lack of members using it are reasons given for its closure. The cleanliness of the gym is a major concern. Recent reviews highlight that the gym is very dirty, with grime everywhere and a strong sour smell in the locker rooms. Equipment often isn't wiped down, and surfaces look grimy and unclean. There is a need for more wipe-down stations with spray and paper towels, as many members avoid using the equipment for fear of germs. The locker rooms are also described as gross, with a bad smell and buildup of grime. Despite management's efforts, cleanliness issues persist even months later, with missing sanitizing wipes and grime on machines. Temperature control is another issue, with some members finding the gym hot and stuffy, and air conditioning problems noted. Showers are inconsistent, with issues in water temperature and pressure, and sometimes appear dirty. The gym closes early on weekends, which some find inconvenient. Regarding personal training, members are charged half the price if they cannot complete their sessions, and it’s recommended to try a month-to-month plan to see if they can make the commitment, potentially saving money. Overall, LA Fitness offers many positive features like helpful trainers and a variety of amenities, but problems with cleanliness, pool availability, and temperature control significantly impact the experience. Members hope for improvements in these areas to match the gym's otherwise good facilities.
The facility is very clean and a lot of machines are equipped! Also, I had a session with Hunter from GRIP, and it was awesome! Hunter provided me a lot of information on how to reach my goals.

I don’t normally go here but our sauna wasn’t working and the 2 times I did come the showers smelled like mold and the second time I saw those tiny bugs that usually show up when the drains need to be cleaned. The pool has a slight green hue and the jacuzzi’s jets don’t all work.. the workout area seems pretty clean though I don’t spend too much time there. I hope they get it cleaned..
