I got the beard trim and haircut. This was my first time at Tonsor. I made my appointment online. Front desk clerk (forgot his name, my apologies) made me feel welcome when I walked in. I arrived about 5 mins early and Benito was finishing up with another client. He was professional and made sure I was comfortable. Benito did fantastic work.

For me, I appreciated the vibe of the shop. It was relaxed, clean, organized and welcoming. The services I paid for was worth it. Thank you, Benito, for making a great first impression.

Just like in a beauty pageant, sometimes the winner was simply in the right place at the right time—but there are always others out there just as stunning. The same goes for Hanif. There are competitions for the best barbers, and someone is chosen as the top barber. Hanif may not have entered those competitions, but to me, he’s already at that level. Excellent, premium-quality barbershop in downtown Vancouver.

Although there seem to be barbershops on almost every block, this remains my only and preferred location because of their attention to detail, hygiene, professionalism, and customer service.

It feels much more like a fine steakhouse than a fast-food joint — refined, consistent, and worth returning to.
