A friend recommended Spencer at Noble Fir to us for a pre-sale inspection; lucky us, since we had no connections as first-time homebuyers, and Spencer did an outstanding job. He was polite, professional, and extremely knowledgeable. He answered all of our many, many, many newbie questions with grace and good humor, and gave us great advice around which fixes were most important, what to keep an eye on, and spots to get checked further by specialists.We really appreciated that he stayed onsite longer than expected—it’s a 1940s home with various additions, so has some weird stuff going on—to make sure his report was thorough. Spencer has performed two inspections for us, one for selling and one for maintence. Both inspections were performed with complete professionalism and completeness. The reports are excellent and provided us with everything we needed to proceed with repairs or modifications. Spencer was great! He was able to fit me in for an inspection the next day after I called 4 other inspectors. This was a pre-inspection so it was time sensitive. Spencer arrived on time and finished in about 2 hrs and 15 mins, right on schedule. He walked on the roof when he was unable to use the drone. He reassured me that my biggest concern of water in the crawl space was most likely due to a fixable gutter problem. He helped me realize that the house was not in bad shape which was really reassuring. I got the printed report shortly after and he did verbally review the major items with me at the end.
