In my experience there are essentially two sorts of businesses:

1) Businesses that SERVE the customer, meaning they do their best to keep their promises to someone buys products or services from them. A good place to do business.

2) Then there are businesses who take CARE of their customer, meaning they anticipate needs or issues and resolve them in a way that works both for the customer AND the business.

I called early this morning with a very important request for same day turnaround on steaming & pressing work (not dry cleaning). The lady who answered was super kind & accommodating. Everything got taken care of and our dress & suit are perfect for our daughter's wedding. Upon pickup, there wer challenges with the new payment system. However, together we figured it out without any frustrations. Thank you Scollard's ladies.

We have given these guys a lot of business and we have been mostly happy although they seem kind of expensive. However, today when I went in to pick up clothes and some leather boots, the cashier refused to honor a coupon we had for 25% of leather/suede cleaning. The coupon did not state that there were any restrictions, the boots were leather, yet the answer was just a flat "no, we don't take coupons for those boots." I was disappointed because a quality business will always honor their advertising and then make changes to their coupons if they no longer want to offer their customer savings on specific items.
