S&J Engines

Purchased a 2008 5.4 long block. “7 year 100,000 mile warranty” Engine lost oil pressure 20,000 miles (2 years) Towed it to the shop. Removed engine for warranty. Shipped to s&j… they said engine has no oil even though it had to be shipped drained. Would not back warranty. Stated oil pump failure isn’t under warranty even though it was a long block with pump and pan all installed. Offered to rebuild for $1,500 but with there terrible warranty and poor rebuild quality. I will never purchase from them again. I’ve replaced several engines at my shop and highly recommend using ATK over this company.

Don’t return calls or emails , blew a engine after 3 hrs running time , they said it was running lean and overheated . Install error . Sent me one picture of a broken valve and that’s all . I asked for a mech report and diagnostic that would hold up in court … that was a month ago ???? I have been dealing with the manager Dan
