We picked McFarland for our heat pump replacement, and they did a great job – very down to earth family owned business (brothers and cousins).
They install Arcoaire heat pumps, which is one of the brands produced by Carrier.
The older style of heat pump is single stage – I like to think of it as single speed – which means it runs like nearly all forced-air furnaces – either all the way on, or all the way off. This is what our old heat pump was (which lasted us 34 years !!!).
The newer type is direct drive, also known as variable speed.

I couldn’t be more grateful for these guys. They hooked us up with an amazing price. I got eight quotes and they beat them all. They have amazing customer service. You can tell they truly care about their neighbors and that they don’t take advantage of people. I will never use anyone else for anything furnace related other than these guys for the rest of my life.
