I've been buying my glasses from COSTCO ever since Group Health screwed up my glasses years ago. Never had a problem with Costco. Service was quick and staff very professional.

I've been buying my progressive glasses from the Costco optical department in Silverdale since I moved back to WA. I got just got a new prescription from a local optometrist that has always worked for me, and took my prescription to Costco and picked up the new pair on 09/09/23. The new pair are killing my eyes so I'm back to wearing my old scratched up pair until I can figure out what to do. I'm extremely bummed because this has never happened. My glasses have always been perfect from Costco. Avoid Costco Optical for progressive lenses! I wanted a backup pair of glasses when I got my new prescription. I bought another pair at a private optometrist's office that work perfectly for distance, computer work, and reading--but the Costco lenses only worked for distance. (Full disclosure: the optometrist pair was for Silhouette, and the lenses alone were twice what I paid for my Costco frames and lenses.) When I returned to Costco, the staff said that sometimes their progressive lenses do not work for all people--that the Costco lenses have a smaller vision field, apparently for each distance.
