I have been coming to Dr. Goo and this shop for about 20 years. I get excellent care and they really strive to make sure the prescriptions work for you. I got really good counseling, referrals, and follow up review when it came time to have cataract surgery and address another eye problem. Even though my Medicare plan does not cover him anymore I still come to him because I know it's going to be great care and worth the extra cost.

I filled an eyeglass presription with Glen, the long time owner, just as he was retiring in 2022. Two years later, I dropped those glasses and then STEPPED ON THEM, twisting the frame beyond recognition. The new team at Woodlawn gave incredible support, I can happily say that the good service standards remain. After Paul and Dr. Goo inspected my broken frames, we found a happy solution! Luckily, my lenses could be altered slightly to fit a different frame. I also learned from Dr. Goo a little bit more about my contact lense Rx in the process-there are new materials on the market. A minor glasses emergency had me racing around to multiple stores and local optometrists in desperate search of a repair kit. My harried journey ended at Woodlawn Optical. The Optometrist greeted me warmly, assessed the situation quickly, and addressed it effectively. She was gracious with her time as I didn't have an appointment and I was so grateful. The entire experience was excellent and I will be returning as a regular client in the future because of it.
