About UW Medicine Sports Medicine Center at Husky Stadium

The Sports Medicine Center at Husky Stadium is a modern, 30,000 square-foot facility that provides a full range of sports medicine services. The center is staffed by team physicians for the UW Huskies, Seattle Seahawks, various Seattle public high schools, and the Seattle Marathon. The staff includes specialists in sports medicine, orthopedic surgery, physical therapy, and radiology. They work with patients of all ages and abilities, including athletes and non-athletes. Patients have praised the center for its skilled physicians, with one patient highlighting the positive impact of Dr. Gee, who successfully treated their torn labrum, bicep, and knee over several years. Another patient expressed gratitude for Dr. Paladino's expertise in managing their chronic health issues, noting her ability to diagnose and treat problems that had persisted despite previous treatments from other specialists. While the center is generally well-regarded, one patient shared a negative experience involving a surgeon's PA. They felt their primary doctor's treatment plan was disregarded and that their overall health concerns were not adequately considered. This patient expressed a desire for more patient engagement and sensitivity training. Despite this single negative experience, the Sports Medicine Center at Husky Stadium continues to be recognized for its high-quality care and expertise.

I am writing this review specifically as it relates to one of the physicians: Dr Lauren Paladino, DO. I have chronic health issues and if I cannot exercise, my pain worsens. Sometimes, I have acute issues come up that make it hard for me to exercise. Dr Paladino has so far helped alleviate two separate issues that have been plaguing me for years. I saw several specialists and had multiple injections for these problems, but the pain persisted. Dr Paladino heard my complaints, made her own diagnosis, and treated me accordingly. So far, she has helped resolve two of these "chronic" issues and is now working on a few others. With her help, I am confident I can keep doing...read full review

I am on the fence with UW at the stadium. I was offended regarding the surgeons PA's apparent disregard to my primary doctor's treatment plan to keep me functional and the lack of asking anything about me as a person, what I do for work and what I do in my personal life . When they ask me, then they may make an informed opinion as to why I am on certain medications. The lack of looking at my body as a whole and what arthritis and other medical issues is doing to me and my physical and mental wellbeing. I bust my ass daily and I can barely get out of bed. Sometimes I roll out and have to use my wall to stand up. It is painful. If my spine surgeon didn't make certain demands and understands what I suffer through knowing my whole life so to speak being asked to do things that would cause more pain and anxiety is not for me. It should not be forced to rip off my bandaid which is what is holding this mess of my body together to receive permanent treatment at my age (42). I do not know if this was intentional. I hope not. It made me angry enough to seek a second opinion which I have never done before. I left with more questions then what I went in with. The staff was polite and the building was clean. I am still giving a high enough review regardless of how I felt as they are a good clinic and are highly respected in their field. I don't like being looked down on and feeling dirty for taking medications that keep me from being a permanent occupant of my bed and barely cuts the edge off the pain in my spine, joints and hip. I'm under The care of 2 Doctors for that medication. Trust me if I didn't need it I wouldn't take it. Maybe a little sensitivity training and patient engagement training could go a long way with certain types of patients.

I was first here 10 years ago for a torn labrum in the left shoulder . Dr Gee was the man everything he said came true and the labrum is good today as it was when he fixed it . In addtion i was back in 2 years later after tearing my bicep once again Dr Gee fixed it and i have never had to look back . In 2016 after a horrible Motorcycle accident who did i go see about my Knee you got it Dr Gee once again cleaned everything up and it is still solid . I could not be happier . I have now gone and done it again this time tears in the Rotator we will see what magic he can work this time around . Skill set i would say this facility is top notch
