I had a great experience with the eye doctor when I visited for an exam. Unfortunately they never answer the phone during business hours, they need to hire a competent secretary. There seems to be no way to look up and pay a bill online. So there is no way to work out billing issues since nobody ever answers the phone. Bad way to run a business. Also the man who sells glasses out of the shop is super loud obnoxious. Sitting in the waiting room listening to an elderly man that sells glasses brag about how tough he is like torture. The second hand embarrassment is real. I recommend bringing headphones.

I would absolutely recommend this clinic for vision exams and contact lens fitting. Dr. Hovander and Richard are really nice. They explain everything and have always made me feel comfortable. Dr. Hovander goes above and beyond; I had a question and he told me he would do some research, and then he followed up with a detailed voicemail a few days later.Unfortunately, I will probably find a different LDO next time I want to buy new glasses. I felt talked down to by Paul. He also made me feel defensive about having bought inexpensive glasses in the past and not wanting to spend hundreds on new glasses during my most recent visit. I've been using this clinic exclusively since I moved to Seattle 8 years ago. I was a doctoral student at UW back then, so happened upon this place due to its location. I didn't expect much (I figured it would mostly service undergrads) but Dr. Hovander and Richard were excellent. Very thorough, flexible, listen to your feedback. They're a quick email/text message away when I need refills, their online appointment booking system has become really convenient, they have parking. Check, check, check.
