I had a really good experience at Mission Connection. The structure is strict, but in a good way—it still feels forgiving and flexible when you have personal needs that come up. They give passes pretty generously and are willing to fast-track care when needed, which I really appreciated. It felt like they gave a lot of freedom and grace, especially for people who might not always have access to resources like this. Honestly, this program really changed my perspective on what mental health treatment can feel like. It doesn’t feel cold or clinical, it actually feels like people care. Between the director, Charnae and her team, especially Kathryn and McKay, you can tell there’s real intention behind everything. Charnae sets the vibe, super down to earth and she cares! Mission Connection in Seattle helped me tremendously, and I’m incredibly grateful for the experience. The program offers a wide variety of sessions. There was a balance between digging into trauma and focusing on positive, forward-moving therapy.
I really appreciated that the virtual programs were just as impactful as the in-person. One of my favorite facilitators—and the person I gained the most from—was actually virtual, which speaks volumes. Every facilitator made me feel heard. On top of that, their alumni program helps you stay engaged and connected even after completing IOP. I would highly recommend Mission Connection.
