Hi everyone my name is Tanya and I had the unfortunate pleasure to have dealt with Forest Lawn . And the experience was a sense of peace calmness and they cared for my brother as if he was family to them and that was a heartfelt feeling because I was kind of besides myself having to be my brother there by himself but I felt comforted and knowing that they would take care of him as if he was family and that made me feel better and at ease knowing that he would be looked after and care for and this was a blessing Kris is amazing person even let me Vent when I had nobody to talk to on a number of occasions and I thank him for that. So if you have to look for a funeral home for your loved one than Forest Lawn is an amazing place to go and they would treat yours loved ones as if they were there loved ones as well they are a good group of amazing people I'm so glad I went to them .

Rae Chapman was the Funeral Director I worked with during my father's passing, and she was exceptional throughout the entire process.
Before selecting a funeral home, I called six different providers. Most could not clearly explain their pricing, services, or what to expect. Rae was different. She was transparent, responsive, professional, and took the time to answer every question with clarity and compassion.
During one of the most difficult times in my life, Rae helped guide my family and me through the process with kindness, patience, and honesty. I always knew what to expect, what the costs were, and what the next steps would be.
If you are looking for a funeral home that is professional, transparent, well-organized, and genuinely cares about the families they serve, I would highly recommend Rae Chapman and her team.

We want to start by saying that we truly appreciate the service provided and the support during a very difficult time for our family. However, there have been several issues throughout the process that we initially tried to overlook, but they have now reached a point where we feel it’s important to address them. From the very beginning, when our family came in to discuss funeral arrangements, the experience felt disorganized. There was a lot of going in and out during the meeting, which made it difficult to have a smooth and focused discussion. When it came time to choose a date for the service, we were told it was available, only to find out at the very end of the meeting that the date was no longer an option. This created unnecessary stress during an already emotional time. Unfortunately, the issues did not stop there. After waiting three months to receive the plaque for our loved one’s grave, we were deeply disappointed to find multiple errors. The birth date was incorrect, and even more concerning, the year of passing was listed as 1926 instead of 2026. These are not minor details—they are fundamental and deeply meaningful to our family. Having to wait such a long time, only for the plaque to arrive with completely incorrect information, is extremely disheartening. It reflects a lack of attention to detail and, more importantly, a lack of sensitivity for grieving families. While we were initially understanding, this experience has left us disappointed. At this point, we do not feel confident recommending this cemetery to others. We hope this feedback is taken seriously so that future families do not have to go through a similar experience.

Oscar made me feel like I was in control of this purchase. I did not feel pressured at all. I've been procrastinating on doing this and when I found out I could be mulched and spread in the Olympic Forest, I was super happy. The price is right in line with the going rate.

Rae was helpful, sympathetic, and took charge in a situation where we had no idea what to do. She guided through everything and even attended the funeral at Tahoma National Cemetery. I would highly recommend her to anyone needing assistance in their time of grief. Of course it was costly, what in this world isn't these days but having someone organized and knowledgeable to guide you through makes it a bit more painless. Thank you Rae

Our family's interaction with Forest Lawn in West Seattle started some time ago. Our mother passed peacefully in May 2022; then time to make arrangements. Dad, also 92, tasked himself, with his four kids in support, in making those arrangements. Both Mom & Dad were more recent transplants to Washington - to be near their kids - and their kids - and their kids.
Firmly rooted in Catholic tradition and his own family history, but with empathetic responses from Forest Lawn and evolving doctrine, Dad selected cremation, and a spot with a great view at an outdoor rose garden and columbarium. Then Dad's time came in June 2024, and responsibility fell to us - their children. With Forest Lawn's continued dignified & empathetic counsel, we gathered the extended family, (a bit later in August 2025) shared stories and photos and placed letters to Dad & Mom. Most of all - enjoyed what our parents' had initiated: US.
Forest Lawn (Vy & Greg particularly) helped us achieve that peace in transition. Thank you.
