I needed to buy some skinceuticals moisturizer since I'm restarting tretinoin. I was checking out and mentioned that I was getting something heavy because I'm restarting the medication. The salesperson asked me why, told me that that was too strong, and asked me if I was doing this with a dermatologist. She gave me a sample of a different product (that, of course, she sells). I thought the whole conversation was really awkward and weird, especially since this is a medication prescribed by my physician and that I've taken before

I live in Olympia and we don’t have a Bluemercury here. I usually use their website to place orders. Also, It was my first time visiting a store and made an consulting appointment. The lady who helped me was very friendly and professional. I really enjoyed my mini skincare service. I purchased one of the items she recommended and she got me a free sample which is nice. My trip to Seattle was worth it. Thanks :)

Around here, there are really only a few beauty counters that rise to my high standards. It's pretty much just Nordstrom. I only go to the other places (Ulta and Sephora) for Fenty. My favorite shop for skincare is in L.A. called Violet Grey and Blue Mercury doesn't have that L.A. vibe, but it's got a lot of good products that I can't get anywhere else locally. This sets them apart but the service does as well. There was one person working when I visited the shop last weekend and they were helping others but were quick to greet me. They took care of me right away after helping the other folks. It's a bit of a drive but I'm willing to drive for good service and quality skincare products.
