I've been coming to Dr. Duan for a few weeks to specifically treat some nerve pain resulting from shoulder surgery (rotator cuff, biceps tendon and SLAP tear) compounded with shingles (affecting my surgical arm). While the needling is moderately intense, it is REALLY effective. I've done a lot of acupuncture in the past and the methods here are consistent with my experience, and in no way overwhelming. Dr. Duan has been very accommodating with some physical challenges that may otherwise limit the treatment (back pain, moving my positions around /changing them mid-treatment until I can get comfortable, etc.). She listens and works with me to ensure my treatment and experience are excellent. Happy to say after 4 weeks of treatment my nerve pain/tingling is fully resolved. I will be back for more after my next shoulder surgery on the other arm.

I was referred here by my amazing acupuncturist in the UK for my ill mother. He had done his research to find me the best acupuncturist in Seattle area and found Dr Yang.Dr Yang is a talented man and if you are lucky to be seen by him, you have won the lotto! He’s very skilled and has years of experience.I had a treatment with Dr Duan for female problems and was very impressed. I think if I had the ability to see her regularly, she could truly help me but I do not live in the US and can only come on visits. She is very calm, lovely, and listens well to assess patients’ problems. Also in just the first session, I felt the chi running through me towards the end. Very hard to explain but I could feel an energy current running around- it was lovely. I slept so well that night.I also appreciated hearing her opinion on my issues that I had already consulted with several doctors prior with no resolution. She is well versed in female issues and it was comforting to hear her suggestions.I will make sure to stop by whenever I am in town.Also I must add: this is one of the cleanest and nicest facilities for acupuncture that I have encountered. I was very impressed how clean it was. It is run properly and professionally. If you are looking for acupuncture in the Seattle area, you would be foolish to not come here.

I am writing this review specifically to refute an earlier reviewer who felt that Dr. Duan was rough with the needles. This has absolutely not been my experience. She is very gentle with both insertion and removal. I feel just a slight pressure on insertion (no prick of pain at all), and not even that on removal. Very attentive, comes in mid-treatment to check everything's OK. She seems to genuinely care about her patient's comfort.

I had severe back and neck pain starting from last year due to intensive work sitting in front of computer and lack of exercises or moves after three years' WFH. I couldn't sleep because of the back pain. I started to see Dr. Duan weekly in Sep 2022. After 3 months acupuncture treatment by Dr. Duan, my back pain completely disappeared and I could sleep well after the recovery. I felt grateful that Dr. Duan saved my life and made me feel energetic again now. I will continue to see her weekly to improve my physical condition this year. I would highly recommend her service to anyone WFH having back and neck pain issues.

Avoid at all cost. The Doctor Took one look at me and said you're 29, why aren't you happy? I came in for nervous system and emotional treatment because that's what the website said they helped with. I asked if they took my insurance but they didn't even read my email and wasted my time by setting up a consultation. It was only after the invasive questioning from the doctor did he finally admit they didnt take my insurance and he would charge me out of pocket. The doctor made comments about how messed up my culture was (I'm Black but I'm going to just hope for the best and assume he meant American culture...) and how things were better in China between parents and kids after asking all of these unnecessary questions about my family and judging me because of our relationships. He just met me and made assumptions about every part of my life. Oh and he said I just need to go out and make friends. Random and made no sense. He emphasized I had too many problems. The whole time I was carefully explaining the things I was struggling with, he wouldn't even read my intake form but answered everything with a judgemental comment. I didn't even think he listened to the things I was struggling with or understood where I was coming from. It was invasive and judgemental and gross and I felt aick to my stomach and so upset after the visit I ran out. Seriously? This is a Healthcare professional? He gave no medical advice only condescending judgement I definitely would never recommend!! Stay away!!!

Facility was clean and quiet. My wife had her first appt with the Dr. and he did acupuncture there. However, she mentioned the rooms were still a bit too cold and they only provided a towel to cover her body (typically warmer rooms and blankets are provided as the body needs to be warm and comfortable in order to relax).At the end of her session, the dr. missed several acupuncture needles. One of the needles actually made it all the way home in her pants and discovered something sharp the next morning.

I've been seeing Dr. Duan and she has helped me with several issues, but recently I was unable to move my neck and 4 treatments of acupuncture and herbal medicine with her alleviated the issue entirely. She listens and accommodates treatments to the patient.
