Dr. Guojun Duan is a very professional and adept acupuncturist. Every four of five years I have a problem with my right knee freezing up. In two sessions she took care of the problem.I went to two other supposed acupuncturists in Seattle who did not help my knee. But Dr. Duan is a true acupuncturist. The way I know is because I once had to go to the Chinese Institute in London to deal with my right knee.. The man who worked on my knee had only been in the country a month and didn't speak a word of English. I take his method to be the true Chinese acupuncture method. And Dr. Duan did exactly as he did. I've been coming to Dr. Duan for a few weeks to specifically treat some nerve pain resulting from shoulder surgery (rotator cuff, biceps tendon and SLAP tear) compounded with shingles (affecting my surgical arm). While the needling is moderately intense, it is REALLY effective. I've done a lot of acupuncture in the past and the methods here are consistent with my experience, and in no way overwhelming. I’m so grateful that I found this ‘hidden gem’ and I want to show my sincere appreciation to Dr. Duan. I’ve been suffering from insomnia, body stiffness and pain for unknown reasons. I visited this clinic by a friend’s strong recommendation today. Dr. Duan was so skillful and knowledgeable in both her acupuncture and her way to approach patient. She asked me a lot of questions and I can tell she truly cares about her patient. Based on her strong solid medical background, I’m amazed to see the effectiveness and art of true professional acupuncture.
