Westgate Barber was a long-standing and beloved barbershop in Tacoma, known for being the best for decades. It has now permanently closed as the barber retired. The business has moved to a new location nearby under a new name. The shop was praised for its excellent service, professional and friendly barbers, and great simple cuts. Customers, including women, men, and children, reported consistently getting precisely what they asked for. Many were loyal long-term clients who wouldn't go anywhere else, often referring others who gave wonderful feedback. The atmosphere was noted for good conversation, and the value was highlighted as great, with excellent service at a great price. While walk-ins were sometimes possible, appointments were recommended.

Started getting my hair cut here in 2001. Currently live on the other side of the state, but just started bringing my son here when we visit. They've been the best shop in Tacoma for decades.
I initially just walked in, hoping there was an opening. There was just one barber on duty, who quickly noticed me and let me know without an appointment I would be waiting a while. After a few minutes, I had an appointment in about an hour and a half. Great, I can get a few errands done. I didn't get the name of the guy who helped me today. Nice guy, good conversationalist, great simple cut and shave (well, more of a beard buzz-off) for just $20. How often do we get excellent service, precisely what we want, and a great price? Next time I'm back in the area, I know where I'm going for my haircut or next beard-buzz-off. :)
