I recently started training at Hong Ik Martial Arts after a 17 year break from Taekwondo. Returning to the mat as an adult black belt can be intimidating, especially when transitioning to a different system, but Master Lim made the entire process seamless.
The adult program here is excellent. Master Lim is a highly skilled instructor who maintains a strong, authentic training environment while remaining incredibly welcoming and accommodating to adult schedules. My 4-year-old attends classes here and he absolutely loves it! Master Lim is great with young kids, making the lessons both fun and disciplined. It’s been a wonderful way for my kid to build confidence and burn off some energy. Highly recommend for families!
Master Lim has been an amazing taekwondo instructor for our three girls. He’s patient, knowledgeable, and he has a special way of making each child feel capable and confident. His classes are also fun—our girls always look forward to them. We highly recommend!
