About Fairwood Martial Arts
Fairwood Martial Arts is a family-run Cuong Nhu dojo located in Renton, WA, offering a blend of Shotokan Karate, Judo, Aikido, Wing Chun, and Vovinam. The school focuses on building a stronger community through personal growth, emphasizing focus, confidence, self-discipline, and a positive attitude. Parents appreciate the attentive and friendly staff, making it a welcoming environment for children. Many families express their children's excitement for classes, with some looking forward to milestones like achieving a black belt. The dojo also provides additional activities, making it a fun place for kids to burn energy. While some parents have suggested improvements, such as assisting introverted students in finding partners, overall experiences have been positive. Both adults and children enjoy the classes, finding them to be an excellent workout while learning valuable skills. The sense of community and camaraderie at Fairwood Martial Arts makes it a popular choice for families in the area.
My son has been attending this school for the past 3 months, I couldn’t be happier with the facility, quality of instructors, atmosphere of the community. My son has made friends from attend classes 2 times a week and loves to participate on their parents night out events. We are happy he looks forward to classes and is gaining confidence in his coordination as well as learning discipline. I recommend them to all my friends looking for a quality dojo.
Great spot for birthdays and Karate lessons. They accommodated our party on short notice and the kids had a great time. My kid can now kick pretty hard so I have to take him more seriously when we play fight.
Our 6 year old is super high energy, silly, and has a big personality. Finding this place has been so fantastic for our family. It has given our child the outlet he needed. And the Sensei is so patient with those who are high energy by giving plenty of time to get their wiggles out.
Overall, I'd recommend Fairwood Martial Arts to any parent that is looking for a sport that is inclusive, welcoming, fun to do and to watch, as well as learn a thing or two yourself about discipline, safety, and confidence.
