About The Bowtie Studio
The Bowtie Studio, located in the red Simply Nails building on the edge of downtown Pullman, is a great place to get your hair done. The studio is run by Doug, who is known for his patience and ability to help customers achieve their desired hairstyle. He specializes in adding layers and body to hair, and even teaches customers how to do "pin curls" and suggests wave-enhancing products. Doug is easy to talk to, genuinely cares about his customers, and will take the time to figure out what you like about your hair and what he can do to make it better. The studio is quiet, as the nail salon is closed on weekends and the other hair station in the room is often empty. Doug's availability on Saturdays and sometimes Sundays is convenient, and he no longer allows online scheduling to ensure appointments are long enough for the services needed. He will even trim your hair during the color appointment if you prefer. Overall, The Bowtie Studio is a highly recommended hair salon in Pullman.
Doug is amazing! He was so patient as I didn't know exactly what I wanted, just knew I wanted layers and helping me add more wave and body to my hair. He taught me how to do "pin curls" and suggested wave-enhancing products which are all working great, I might add! He's genuinely nice and cares about his customers! Thanks Doug!!
I went in on a whim after looking around online and was not disappointed! I will definitely be coming back and I will try to make this my regular spot!
Doug took the time to figure out what I liked about my hair and what we could do to make it better. I ended up leaving with exactly what I was looking for! He was super easy to talk to, and extremely pleasant.
If you’re looking for a place to get your haircut, this is it. I will be 100% be coming back, and I would totally recommend it to anyone in Pullman!
Doug has been my hair guy lately because I realized he works on Saturdays (and sometimes Sundays). I'm glad the internet exists because I found him because I decided to search for something like "hair salons near me open now" one weekend. His studio is in the red Simply Nails building on the edge of downtown Pullman so there's no obvious sign that he's there. The other hair station in the room is for a separate business and she often doesn't work the same hours so that side is often empty when I'm there. The nail salon is also closed weekends so it's nice and quiet. He doesn't allow people to schedule online but you can reschedule (if ever needed) on the Square Go app once you're on the books. He had too many people scheduling appointments that weren't long enough for the services they wanted so he now chats with people and sets up the appointment himself. Besides the weekend availability, I love that he'll usually trim my hair during the color appointment. I never need a big transformation haircut so it makes sense to just have it be part of the color appointment.
