With the passing of my father, and a grief-stricken mother, my siblings and I had no clue what to do! We knew of Rill chapel from driving by it our whole lives in port orchard. When we had our first meeting with River who was so kind and patient, he explained options and repeated himself multiple times with pure empathy since we had the memory of a fish and couldn't remember things right after they were said.
River was so attentive answering my questions and easing my panic every day I called (and I called multiple times a day).

I first met River Collins at another cemetery when my mom passed away in February 2024. Now when my dad passed away unexpectedly in June 2026, River had moved to Rill Chapel, so I followed him. I got him the information he needed & he planned such a beautiful funeral for my dad. I asked him if he would be willing to give the eulogy and he accepted & gave a beautiful eulogy. River is very understanding because he has lost someone very close to him, so he understands what it's like to lose one of the most important people in your life. My husband passed away a few weeks ago and Rill Chapel was amazing. They were so patient and supportive every step of the way. We worked with River and he was kind and allowed us to make last minute changes. It was the most difficult time in my life but everyone at Rill Chapel helped me through it and I will be eternally grateful.
