I called Shold after business hours to help out on a septic system alarm that went off while the home was unoccupied, and I was on the other side of the country. I called Shold and spoke with Martin, who was patient and more than willing to go over to my house that evening to see what caused the system to alarm. Of course I was thinking about all the catastrophic things that could have happened to cause the alarm to go off, being so far away and unable to get to my home that night. BLUF: Not a typical Peninsula experience - all for the good. We have a seasonal house in Port Ludlow that we recently moved into semi-permanently. As such we have engaged many service providers across a gamut of disciplines in the COVID/post COVID era. My overall experience has been much less than ideal from "we are too busy" to "if you want to pay 10x what you were a year ago we MIGHT be able to help you out" and finally the apparent lack of timekeeping devices out here. I work in real estate and Shold has come through big time for us on multiple occasions! During one emergency at our Quilcene office Dakota and crew moved heaven and earth to ensure a septic pipe got repaired that day so our tenant could stay open over the weekend despite them being absolutely swamped with work. It was above and beyond and incredibly appreciated!
