Jo Elan at Susan Rosen and Associates gives an excellent, focused bodywork massage. I am going to try Laura Herrick, LMT, at this organized professional practice group. Highly recommend.
I was a new patient to this office. I emailed all the required documents to the front desk 4 weeks before my appointment. 3 days before my appointment the front desk called me asking for my script, which I had already emailed to them. (they told me they didn't receive it) I forwarded the script again the same day they requested it. I show up for my appointment early and had to come back. (my fault) When I showed up, they said nothing about needing a more specific diagnosis on the script. When the therapist greeted me at the door, she asked me if I got a hold of my referring dr. to get an updated script. I told her I already spoke to the front office (she was sitting in front of us) and I told her I'm waiting to hear back. They asked that I call her, and I said no, she's seeing patients, and she will email me an updated script and it won't be an issue. I let them know that she told me she would send a new script if the dx was nonspecific. They requested that I pay for my visit up front or cancel and pay $55 for a late cancel fee. They went on to tell me they needed to submit the claim timely and couldn't wait. (they have 1 year for timely filing) I told them this wasn't my fault, and I couldn't believe they were making me pay for my visit up front and they left me with no solutions other than cancel and pay or pay for the full visit up front. They admitted it was their fault and kept apologizing but demanded that I pay the $55 cancelation fee. During the entire discussion, the therapist didn't care about anything other than taking my $55. It was a disgusting display of disorganization and lack of communication skills. I've been in the medical field for over 30 years and when a dr's office makes a mistake, they eat the visit or try to resolve the issue. There was NO good reason for them to cancel my visit. They would have gotten the new script, and they could have submitted the claim the next day. I got the updated script from my provider, but they chose to be greedy and unprofessional. They offered me massage lotion and asked if I wanted to reschedule once I get the updated script. NO THANK YOU!
