Pet Groomers near Nine Mile Falls

“I am so grateful for finding a trusted place for our Australian Shepard sibling pups. Our girl is reactive and the workers have been great to work with us as we get them used to boarding. We had a death in the family and they were able to take them for awhile which gave me anxiety being away from them but updates, and them working out best situation for both dogs ( sometimes together, sometimes separated) was a huge blessing. I feel peace having a trusted place to take our dogs and that is priceless. Thank you Nine mile pet lodge for caring for Chief & Clover ( even when their naughty behaviors come out).“

“I arrived a couple of weeks ago from California. Keeping busy trying to move my sister in law back to California. Play N Stay has been an awesome experience for my 2 yr old dog Hazel. A bonus was being able to drop her off when we needed space to move stuff in and out of the yard without having to worry about my fur baby getting out. She has poor recall and that was becoming a pain trying to track her down while we were moving. The staff members are great and are very cautious with new dogs arriving at their facility. They took their time observing my dog and seeing how she handled other dogs. Plan on returning to visit my in laws and Play N Stay will be a destination for my dog to socialize and play with other dogs in a safe environment.“

“Staff there worked a pet in for us, and stayed beyond closing to make sure he was taken care of. It was very serious, and I hate to think of what may have happened without their care.“

“I have an English Springer Spaniel that I needed groomed for a dog show, but she's extremely nervous when being handled by people she doesn't know. I honestly thought getting her professionally groomed would be nearly impossible. When I called to schedule the appointment, I explained how nervous she is and even offered to give her trazodone beforehand. They suggested trying without it first to see how she does. Honestly, I fully expected to get a call 20 minutes after dropping her off asking me to come pick her up because she is difficult to handle. Instead, they took on the challenge with patience and they exceeded every expectation I had.

To give an idea of how anxious she is, at one of her vet appointments she was so scared that she peed on the technician before they had even brought out the vaccines. Because of experiences like that, I never imagined she'd be able to make it through a full grooming appointment.

I chose this groomer because they seemed to have experience working with nervous dogs, and I'm so glad I did. They were able to bathe, clip, and groom her beautifully, and she came home looking fantastic. Best of all, she didn't leave traumatized.

The groomer even sent me a photo during the appointment to ask a question. My girl looked a little worried, but nowhere near as terrified as I expected she would be, which was incredibly reassuring.

They took the time to listen to what I wanted for her groom and carefully considered all the grooming and behavioral notes I provided. I was so impressed by their patience, kindness, and ability to work with such a nervous dog. I would absolutely bring my dog back (they probably don’t want me to though haha) and highly recommend them.“

“My dog, Blake, has been a client of Frankie’s for nearly 10 years! She is absolutely AMAZING and Blake loves her. She is so kind and an extremely skilled groomer! It was so great when she opened ModernAve. The environment is so welcoming, and I just love that Blake doesn’t even look back at me when I drop him off. I have always been extremely grateful that he feels so comfortable there.
Frankie has ALWAYS done an incredible job grooming Blake, so I know exactly how he is going to look each time. I just love that!! Sarah grooms a couple of my friends dogs and she is amazing as well! She has been with Frankie from the beginning and is so sweet & very talented!
Another thing I love is that they decorate their lobby for most holidays and take awesome pictures of the pups in front of a festive background and often times with props as well. Great photos for Christmas cards, etc.

“I could not love soft paws more! The owner has groomed my German shepherd, long hair chihuahua and my cat. He’s not only incredibly knowledgeable but he’s also intentional and precise with all of the services offered. My animals love going to soft paws. Highly, highly recommend!“

“Vanessa is so sweet and did a fantastic job with our older English Springer Spaniel that had a very fine and thick coat with lots of curl to it. She is very patient with the dogs as our old lady is quite difficult to trim her paws and they look great! Her rates are significantly more affordable than anywhere else in town.
I will be back again. Couldn't reccomend more.“
