The Animal Vision Center (AVC) is a veterinary ophthalmology referral practice located in Mountlake Terrace, Washington. They provide state-of-the-art eye care for dogs, cats, pocket pets, and exotics throughout the Puget Sound area. The board-certified veterinary ophthalmologist is extensively trained in the diagnosis and treatment of animal eye disease and injury. The staff works closely with primary care veterinarians to ensure pets receive the best medical care.
Clients praise the fantastic results, friendly and welcoming staff, and exceptional care provided at AVC. One customer's golden doodle regained vision in its left eye after cataract treatment, while another's dog with a cat scratch injury received prompt and compassionate care. Even with a "special needs" senior dog, the staff went above and beyond to keep the owner informed and provide effective treatment, though it was costly. Customers highly recommend AVC for its expertise, professionalism, and dedication to the well-being of their pets.
Recent reviews highlight the professionalism and kindness of Dr. Landry and his team. They are described as gentle, friendly, and very thorough. One pet owner shared that they had to wait over a month or two for an appointment, which is common due to the high demand and limited number of specialists in the area. Despite the wait, they appreciated the care their dog received, including foreign body removal, which cost about $800, with pet insurance expected to cover a significant portion. Customers emphasize that the health of their pets is most important and recommend owning pet insurance to be prepared for unexpected injuries or accidents.
Many clients also mention the excellent communication and responsiveness of the staff, from explaining diagnoses and treatment options to billing details. The staff at AVC is praised for their patience, professionalism, and genuine care. Dr. Landry’s explanations are thorough, and his gentle manner with animals makes a positive impression. Despite long drives from places like Bellingham, owners feel the quality of care and the positive outcomes make it worth the effort. Overall, AVC is highly recommended for its expertise, caring staff, and commitment to pet health.
I had a good experience. The clinic is clean and the staff are polite and friendly. The exam fee is quite high but it unfortunately seems to be the going rate for pet eye specialists in this area. They weren’t pushy during the visit and were upfront about costs and policies from the beginning, so I appreciate the transparency. The visit was worth it for some peace of mind.
Making an appointment was very easy. The clinic is clean, and the staff are friendly and professional, as is the eye doctor. They knew how to take care of Toto so well when he was nervous and frustrated. The service fee is a bit high, but it is well worth it to have Toto’s eyes checked by such a good doctor.
They did a wonderful job with my little guy! He was in and out of the procedure in less than an hour. They even let me bring him home sooner. Their team did a great job with follow up calls to make sure their little patient was doing ok the following day.
