I got a good massage however I think it’s very rude to demand a tip. When I walked in , I pointed at the massage I wanted and she said “pay now and $30 tip.” I was so uncomfortable and caught off guard that I went along with it. The massage itself was very good. Coco is a good massage therapist however be aware when you enter the door to be told and demanded what tip they expect. If you disagree they will look at you like you are crazy and play it off like if you don’t tip them what they say that they won’t do your massage. Very unprofessional as well as awkward

I have been to the Small Apple previously and, until tonight, the experiences have been positive. The charge for the massage was $60 for an one hour massage. That is reasonable and competitive. The masseuse was very good and the charge was for one hour with no "extras." As I was leaving, I tipped her $25 which I thought was more than reasonable as it comes out to about 42%. She complained that it was not enough. As I said, it was a basic massage, no hot stones, no whatever, just a massage. I may go back, but I certainly won't go to "Coco." While I understand that there are different expectations for different services, I would like to know what a fair tip for a standard one hour massage should be. The complaints soured the time and money spent. Everything I've read says that it should be at least 15% which I certainly covered. Looking at the other reviews, I realize that they expect a $40 tip, although I didn't see it posted. If that is the case, I won't be going back.

Decent massage, I only stopped in because my usual masseuse canceled last minute. Menu has 1 hr reduced from $70 to $60 but at the end they spring a $40 mandatory tip on you. I can't imagine anyone ever returning for a second massage. I won't be back.
