Treated my horse for colic knowing he was very likely to colic again but didn’t even bother to mention that he was going to be going on vacation the next day (Which would have pushed me to start looking for another vet immediately in case my horse colicked again while he was gone) When my horse did in fact colic again the next morning, I called his office and they said “ oh sorry he is on vacation” and the only thing they could do was come out and put him down, which is what heartbreakingly had to happen because it was so severe.
