don’t know how to pierce

I got nipple piercings done August 2024 by a female piercer. she even mentioned to me in the room that she hasn’t done one of these piercings in awhile, but then reassured me she was still confident. I should’ve walked out of there then- I’m not sure why I stayed. She pierced them- told me how to care for them and went on my way. I made a follow up appointment some time later to get them resized. I show up, and was told “who told you to make this appointment? Yeah no I’m not going to resize you” so I paid the appointment fee and went on my way. In the mean time I’ve been having constant issues with my piercing, but she told me it’s basically an open wound for 9 months and to expect problems. 6 months after I got it pierced, I came in to the shop to get glass bars in so I could get an MRI done for my doctor. Even the separate woman who changed out my bars didn’t raise any concerns about how they looked at 6months (they should have looked MUCH better then the state they were in). It also seemed an employee would tell me something different every time I went in with questions. I would get a different answer every time. Fast forward to last week- it’s now been a year since I got them pierced and the piercing is migrating/rejecting so much it ripped so much it was more painful than the piercing itself. I just went to another shop today to get an assessment done and he said it’s clear they were pierced way too deep and he was shocked that not one of the employees could help me with them or give me sound advise when I went in 2 separate times after I got said piercing and was experiencing problems. $400+ down the drain and now I can never get them pierced horizontally again. Do NOT recommend this place for nipple piercings at all.

I have been going to Deep Roots since 2016, with 13 piercings done by them. It was truly the best place to get high quality jewelry with experienced and knowledgeable piercers. That was until they changed ownership in 2024… They have ZERO record of any purchases/piercings previously done by Deep Roots. Which is incredibly frustrating considering they do not install jewelry that is not purchased there.

I booked an appointment for a jewelry change, for the first time in about a year. Everything went okay there other than the glass nostril piece breaking in my nose but whatever. When I came back a week later to have them change my piercings back to my pretty jewelry she told me I needed to purchase a ring because they couldn’t install other place’s jewelry. Thats fine, I pick one out and I wait. Once the piercer had the ring in, he was having trouble closing it with the gem in between. He was pushing/squeezing on my ear for about 10 minutes before it was fully in… For context my piercing is 6 years old and healed perfectly has caused me NO PAIN/KELOIDS. Now my piercing has a large bump on the bottom hole, leaking blood and other things. My ear has been extremely sensitive and I can’t even lay on that side. I am extremely disappointed and will be finding another shop to give my business to.

I recently had a piercing with Diane and the experience was wonderful! From working with my budget in picking out jewelry, to the actual piercing Diane was amazing and I felt completely comfortable. I didn't catch the name of the sales associate, but they were also super kind to me! I felt safe and at ease at this piercing location, and I can't wait til this heals and to down size! It was a friendly and welcoming atmosphere, and very clean and professional looking.

No oral piercer available (lip/nose/tongue)

I came into the studio to see if I needed to downsize from the initial piercing I had 6 weeks ago (Diane was an amazing piercer btw I would totally recommend her!!), but when I was asked if I was a walk or appointment in by a women at the front desk with bangs/glasses and when I confirmed I was a walk in, her whole demeanor changed. She sounded like she was irritated with me for being a walk in. She told me she could work me in around the appointments which I totally understood, but when I asked about the waiting time out of curiosity, she cut me off mid question and loudly gave me a frustrated response of “I have no way of knowing the waiting time but we’re booked until 7”. I was caught off guard with the response and kind of embarrassed since it was in front of multiple people in the lobby lol. After that, she asked me if I wanted to wait but I politely declined and left since I didn’t want to make her more frustrated, plus everyone was looking at me.

I totally would have scheduled an appointment if I knew it would take a little longer for a downsize, I just thought it was going to be a quick swap hence why I did a walk in and the coupon card I got after my initial piercing didn’t recommend scheduling an appointment, it just says to come into the studio. I just wished she could have been more professional about it and not give me attitude for something I didn’t know that I needed an appointment for.

Staff was really nice and welcoming. I went in for nostril piercing super nervous anticipating the pain, Caitlyn was very knowledgeable and patient explaining everything to me super helpful 😊 Diane was awesome and gentle and talked me through every step of the process and before I knew it was over . HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place .Definitely will be returning for future piercings and tattoos 🤗🤗

I had an amazing experience today! Jude and Ivy were super helpful— explaining pricing clearly and guiding me through jewelry options. Kat was nothing short of phenomenal. I thought my old septum piercing had long since closed, but she was able to find the hole and get jewelry back in like it was nothing.

Getting my nipples re-pierced with her was honestly awesome. She’s so skilled—both were done before I even had time to fully register the pain, even with my residual scar tissue to deal with. She was super informative and thorough. I felt totally taken care of. Definitely recommend! I won't be going to anyone else for my piercings!
