Soot and Bone Body Art Studio is a clean, cute little shop on Lopez. Owner and artist Sara is an amazing artist who pulls clean lines and has unique ideas and designs. She is a kind and gentle human, and clients instantly feel comfortable around her. Sara did a whole sleeve and did such a great job. The design, placement, and integration with older tattoos turned out perfectly. She has a very gentle hand, so ink healed extremely quickly, and the lines have stayed crisp and dark. Clients have been getting tattoos from her for years and traveled a lot for the chance to be tattooed here. It was the best tattooing experience and the best tattoo experience. Clients look forward to booking their next tattoo and will keep coming back for the rest of their days. The island is a beautiful, magical, healing place as well.
Soot & Bone is the best! Not only have I gotten tattoos from both Sara, the owner, and Trevor, her apprentice, but I have seen lots of their work and met a lot of other people who have been tattooed by the two. Sara is so incredibly kind, insanely talented, and pays close attention to detail. I have been absolutely pleased with each piece I have received from her and it has been a pleasant experience each time. And I have only heard good things from others as well!
