As the district nears its first birthday (in May), we’re seeing some of the results of the past year’s hard work to transition the Lopez Medical Clinic from a department of Island Hospital to being a part of UW Medicine. Our new, permanent district superintendent, Anne Presson, is doing a marvelous job keeping the public informed, including maintaining an up-to-date website and developing at Lopez Island Hospital District Facebook page. This is also a good time to again express deep gratitude to the Catherine Washburn Medical Association, Lopez Island Physical Therapy, and countless volunteers and supporters who have made it possible for Lopez Island to have primary care services.“
