I LOVE Unique Hair Design! They are the only salon I will go to! The staff are very kind, professional, talented, considerate, and compassionate!! While there another customer was VERY disrespectful and as calm as the staff was, I immediately spoke up in their defense! They didn’t deserve the nonsense that was happening! I HIGHLY recommend and will definitely be returning! Literally all of the staff at my job love my hair and asked where I went! Thank you for making me feel beautiful again!

This is my second experience with this salon and unfortunately neither instances have been good. In the first instance, I had gone in to get a wavy perm. I had shown the stylist (Rosa) a reference picture and the end results were far from that. I came out of the salon with a pack of ramen noodles on my head instead of the wavy hair I had asked for. It took over six months for the curls to fully grow out and for my natural hair to return. A refund was not offered for this inconvenience.
Today, my wife had gone in to get her hair styled for her sister’s quinceñera. She had asked for a simple, clean and neat bun yet she walked out of the salon with curls and a messy bun. Of course, the stylist was provided with a reference photo but yet again, the guidelines were not followed. As soon as my wife got home she undid her hair and had to redo it herself because she did not have the time to go back. When confronted for a refund for the poor service, our request was rudely denied and we were told to call a different day of the week because a manager was not present.
I did not think we’d be back after the first mishap but after today’s inconveniences, I cannot recommend that anyone should choose “unique hair design” for any of their hair needs.

The younger woman was kind and respectful of what I wanted and was talking to me every step of the way! The older woman who is the owner I assume, was rude and condescending when I mentioned the woman in my photo had longer hair than how it looked on myself, which ultimately led me to have a panic attack. The younger woman had comforted me and was far more professional compared to the older woman. As someone who struggles with my mental health and wanted to treat myself, this was a terrible experience considering I walked in there feeling confident in myself, to walking out feeling hurt, regretful, and pained that I even walked in..

Very convenient since I lived in Lakewood. Nice staff. Private parking. Good for trim and color.

Went today for the first time. Rosa cut my hair. She did a really awesome job, was very friendly, and took her time. I'll be using her again!
They do take walk-ins, but I recommend calling for an appt. It's a pretty busy little shop.

Friendly staff, and I always get my cut how I want it. They even did a good job on my 5 year olds hair. They treat you like family, can’t recommend them enough!
