I travel a lot for work and sometimes I bring my son a long with me, this boy has alot of hair... I make it a point to stop here to get his hair braided.. the owner makes sure theres someone available everytime... the other part to this is after the braids were taken down, there was no hair loss.. this is the only place that I've taken my son that didn't cause his hair to fall out... also the products that were used didn't make my son's head itch, because of this his braids stayed fresh longer and the style lasted 2× longer which honestly saved me money.. and the ladies there were really sweet and professional.. while staying true to the culture.. I love it...

This was one of the most emotionally distressing and unprofessional salon experiences I’ve ever had.
I came to this stylist already vulnerable. Cutting my locs was a HUGE deal my hair is my throne, my biggest insecurity, and something I take very seriously. I explained that clearly. She reassured me, told me “I got you,” hyped her work, and took my $50 deposit with no issue. My appointment was at 12:30 PM. I arrived early. From that point on, everything went downhill.

I was in that salon for OVER SIX HOURS with my hair unfinished. Six hours of waiting, neglect, confusion, and dismissal. She cut my locs and had ME comb my own hair out, then applied perm to my ends and left it sitting far longer than appropriate. When I told her my hair was burning, instead of listening, she dismissed me and told me I was wrong, repeatedly saying, “it’s not even on your scalp,” and implying I was exaggerating or lying. What made this experience unbearable was the way she tried to make ME look like the problem. She openly mocked and minimized my concerns in front of other customers making comments about my hair, joking that it wasn’t burning, and speaking in a sarcastic, dismissive way instead of addressing the issue professionally. That is humiliating and unacceptable.I was placed under the dryer for over an hour, and when she notice my scarf had fallen and she argued with me about my own experience insisting it didn’t happen. At every turn, she refused to listen and chose to gaslight instead. Not once did she show empathy, apologize, or acknowledge how overwhelming this was. Instead, she repeatedly centered her own personal issues while continuing to neglect me as a client. Meanwhile, I was sitting there fighting back tears, frustration, and the urge to walk out.I am active-duty military and received a call requiring my immediate attention. When I explained I needed to leave for duty, she casually suggested I just “go like that.” Completely unacceptable. Instead of helping, she continued to argue and dismiss me again trying to make it seem like I was difficult rather than taking responsibility for the situation.

Another stylist in the shop showed more professionalism than she did offering to wait so my hair could at least be molded and put under the dryer. The fact that another stylist had to step in for her client speaks volumes.

After I left, it was clear she was talking about me to other customers, which is wildly unprofessional and confirms the lack of respect shown throughout this entire experience. While sitting there, I checked the reviews and found another review describing this SAME behavior long waits, dismissive attitude, and lack of professionalism. This is not a one-time issue. This is a pattern. On top of all of this, I never received a refund for the $50 deposit taken by her website, despite receiving no completed service. A refund is absolutely expected.

I don’t care how good someone’s work may look—professionalism, respect, and basic human decency matter. If you value your hair, your time, or your peace, DO NOT BOOK.

    Unacceptable. Period.

The Doll House Salon wasn't just what I needed for my hair, my heart was fed by the electric energy of the women running this place. I felt heard, and I felt gorgeous. By the time I left, it was like leaving a hangout with old friends.
Plus: they got me to an emerald green without bleach! 💚

Sharletha, was the most respectful, kind, loving stylist I’ve ever dealt with. My daughter had an emergency color nightmare that we needed help with. She took us right in worked for a couple hours to get her hair looking beautiful and the way she was dreaming for it to look!
I would 100% hands down refer everyone to this salon. She definitely went above and beyond to ensure she walked it off her salon looking her finest!! Thank you so much Sharletha 🥰🥰🥰

I needed an emergency fix on my hair I tried to cut on my own cause I have no idea what I'm doing with a pair of scissors. I didn't know what hairstyle to go with so I said girl do your thing cause I don't know anymore 😂 they chose a style and fixed my hair and it looks sooo much better, I'm not used to short hair at all yet I felt more confident when I left!! These girls were a riot and I had a lot of fun being there! It was a welcoming and positive atmosphere and as a sahm I needed that 😌

This place was such a vibe and the decor was beautiful ! My stylist Lalaya was so nice, professional and personable. She did a great job on my locs and the owner was super nice and welcoming. I will definitely be back and going to tell my friends about her as well!

Unprofessional Service and Disrespectful Treatment by Sharletha

I am a proud owner of beautiful 4c hair and value respectful, professional service.
Sharletha arrived 1 hour and 30 minutes late to my appointment.
When she arrived, it was evident she was under the influence of substances, which affected her professionalism and quality of service , using profanity and acting belligerent.
In the chair, she stated that the salon prefers soft hair and implied she would “try her best” to do a silk press on my hair. This communicated a biased, discouraging attitude and dismissed my hair type and goals.
I felt humiliated in front of the other clients and staff when she publicly labeled my hair as problematic.
Her late arrival, questionable state, and disrespectful remarks made the experience unsatisfactory and unprofessional. After that she did apologize and stated that she was going through things but after all is said and done this is still a place of business and her behavior was unprofessional.
I do not recommend Dollhouse Salon for clients with 4c hair, as I did not feel supported or valued as a client. If possible, I would advise other 4c baddies to consider alternatives or to do their own styling rather than risking a similar experience.

This was my very first visit and I will say they make you feel like you’re with your family…. I will definitely be going back, 1st time in my 9-years in WA that the stylist gave me what I asked for and quality of work is definitely worth what you pay.

I wish I had a before of my raggedy mangy hair. Shar did such an amazing job of working out all the colors and making my idea come to life. The cut is amazing and easy, and the colors are more beautiful than I asked for!! My husband and daughter oohed and ahhed over how beautiful mama was.
Thank you girl. If you are ever looking for a friendly face and place that cares about you and what you want, this would be the place to go!!
You will never regret investing in yourself and your confidence! ?
