Our daughter had torticollis and a strong head-turn preference that led to plagiocephaly and asymmetric motor skills, so we started physical therapy at First Step when she was just 2 months old. Working with Anyssa Ruiz Fairchild was one of the best decisions we made as first-time parents.
Anyssa not only helped fully resolve our daughter’s torticollis and head-turn preference, but also supported her overall motor development and confidence. By the time our daughter graduated at 8 months old, she was testing in the 90th percentile for motor skills — an outcome we truly credit to Anyssa’s expertise and care.

We are thrilled to have found this place for my son. They are incredibly caring and attentive to babies and children of all ages. They maintain excellent communication with parents and provide comprehensive training for home use. I highly recommend Anysa as a physical therapist. She is exceptionally friendly with kids and babies and offers excellent referrals if she deems it necessary.
Our two month old son had a pretty bad case of torticolis and we were referred to First Step by our son’s pediatrician. Our experience was amazing! Everyone we interacted with was kind and helpful. We worked with Anyssa Ruiz Fairchild and I would recommend her to anyone. She is extremely gifted with children and super knowledgeable. She answered all of my questions and never made me feel rushed out of there (as is the case in so much of the medical world). My son would light up when he saw her and made what I thought would be a struggle into a fun experience for my baby.
