Northshore Midwives & Lactation Consulting helped me have an at home water birth with the least amount of intervention. I loved my birth even though my labor was long because of how the midwives cared for me and my husband. They went above and BEYOND to help my body labor and deliver successfully. Myself and my closest girlfriends all have had our babies with Northshore Midwives - you feel heard and understood. There are so many unknowns in the pregnancy, birth, and postpartum process; I felt so informed, safe, loved, and advocated for.
Amazing experience with the Northshore Midwives team! I became pregnant one month in to the COVID-19 pandemic and their care was exceptional. Andrea took the time during our initial interview to answer questions about home birth, prenatal and postnatal care, lactation support, and COVID-19 protocols, we knew immediately they were the team for us. They answered email questions promptly and I always felt comfortable utilizing their call number when needed. They provided amazing support before, during, and after birth. I trusted them completely with my birth, and felt so supported. The next day home visit was wonderful with fresh baked bread! Sadie, Courtney, and Caroline were THE BEST birth team. They supported me in various labor and delivery positions, and we got very creative with back labor coping. This team exceeded my expectations! The lactation visit on day 5, plus the maternal/newborn well check visits at weeks 1, 3, and 6 were really helpful and appreciated. They listened to me and provided homeopathic remedies that really work! I LOVE that this team is also an IBCLC and two certified herbalists. It is a dream team. After an entire pregnancy of pandemic isolation, they felt like very dear friends! Even though I could never see their smiles in person (due to masks), I felt very comfortable with them. Highly recommend them for home or birth center births, and will be returning if we have another baby!
