Defensive Driving School in Issaquah was exceptional. Josh is a standout instructor — calm, clear, and incredibly patient. He made driving feel safe and achievable for my hearing‑impaired student.
The Issaquah team also went above and beyond by providing a full copy of the online class curriculum, making it much easier for my student to follow along. It was one of the first online/in‑person learning experiences that offered real accessibility and parity, and it made a huge difference.
Highly recommend this school — and especially Josh — for anyone who needs a thoughtful, inclusive, confidence‑building driving program.
We had an excellent experience with Mr. Isaac Kim, our daughter’s defensive driving instructor! He was incredibly patient, encouraging, and thorough throughout the entire process. He made learning to drive feel much less intimidating and helped our daughter build confidence and skills with ease.
Mr. Kim was also funny and personable, which made each lesson more comfortable and enjoyable for our daughter. His calm, positive approach and sense of humor helped take away a lot of the stress that can come with learning to drive.
We truly appreciated the time, effort, and care he put into teaching her. We could tell he genuinely wanted her to become a safe and confident… read full review
Passed my drive test today with instructor Josh Kelly, and I couldn't recommend him more. I recently relocated from the UK, so I booked a 30 minute warmup beforehand. Josh was excellent at explaining the differences between UK and US driving rules and made sure I felt confident before the test. He was calm, clear, and patient throughout. Great experience!
