About Useless Bay Animal Clinic

Useless Bay Animal Clinic is a trusted veterinary care provider where pets receive compassionate and personalized attention. The clinic's veterinarians, including Dr. Reiter and Dr. Bishop, truly care about their patients and go above and beyond to ensure their well-being. They handle emergency situations with professionalism and kindness, and are patient and understanding with challenging pets. The staff is calm, gentle, and accommodating, making even the most anxious pets feel at ease. The clinic's approach emphasizes doing the right thing for each dog, with a focus on less stress and pain during procedures. For example, Dr. Bishop prefers to do a scope to remove objects from the stomach rather than surgery, which is gentler on the pet. The clinic also believes in necessary vaccinations like rabies shots and does not routinely perform dental cleanings unless needed. They check for fleas and other issues but avoid unnecessary medications, trusting that responsible pet care is already in place. The staff is friendly, the waiting and exam rooms are clean, and the prices are very reasonable. The clinic even offers a donation area outside for dog owners to share supplies. Useless Bay Animal Clinic is a top choice for pet owners who see their pets as part of the family.

We asked if we could forgo the unnecessary anxiety of bringing her in and they relented but would still need to catharize her. When Annie stopped eating and became unstable, we called UBAC and as was done for two previous dogs, they would come to the car, administer the sleeping shot and...read full review

This clinic absolutely exceeded my expectations!! Front desk people were sweet and Dr. Reiter was so gentle and caring with my rabbit, she asked before picking her up and didn't scruff or make her uncomfortable and she took her time to gain her trust before grabbing her and let me hold her while she vaccinated her.

I can’t express enough gratitude that I have for this vet practice and the 20 years that I’ve been coming here with our dogs. Sincere thanks for Dr. Bishop, Dr. Parent, and Dr. Reiter for being there for us and our community. 🙏
